Two weeks ago we closed on a 2 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn! The building is almost a hundred years old and the apartment has a lot of original detail which we love, but which also means that we have a lot of work ahead of us -- painting, stripping, refinishing, replacing etc. -- before we officially move in, in less than two months. These are pictures from the listing agents website (sorry about the top one). The entire apartment except the bathroom is painted a glossy tan, and almost every surface has been painted with many, many layers of paint, including bathroom tile, glass door panes, wood molding and hardware. But underneath all that blue paint and vinyl flooring you see there in the bathroom, are original black and white tiles that appear to be in nearly perfect condition.
