chicago II: frank lloyd wright home + studio

A last minute visit to Frank Lloyd Wright's Home and Studio, in Oak Park, Illinois, where he lived and worked from 1889-1909. He conceived and designed every aspect of this house, its interiors and furnishings. In 1898 he added a studio with a street entrance for clients and a connecting passageway through the house. He was so inspired by nature that when he added the passageway, rather than removing an existing tree, he integrated it into the design. He managed to filter his entire world view through his singular design aesthetic, what a fascinating mind. I would love to visit Fallingwater in Pennsylvania next.
